Snack Happy!
From cheeseburgers and pies to pakora and nacho platters, pubs today provide high quality bar snacks for everybody.
Of course, as well as the more elaborate and exotic snacks, pubs continue to provide a range of bar sundries, just as they always did, with Peanuts, PotatoCrisps and Pickled Eggs standing alongside newcomers like chocolate, cakes and (in some pubs) even baby food.
Meal Time
Most pubs not only provide a massive range of snacks, they also offer a fantastic choice of food from around the world.
From single dishes to three or more course meals, (and of course excellent coffee), the modern Scottish Pub has it all.
Quality
And Value
The quality of Scottish pub food has improved dramatically in the last five years or so. Not only is some of the best traditional food served in pubs, but also some of the most innovative. Scotland's chefs have recently capitalised on the enormous diversity of tastes attracted into the nations pubs!
Pub food is also fantastic value for money. For the tourist, eating in a Scottish pub is usually cheaper than in a comparable outlet in Europe. Nearly all overseas visitors want to go to the pub for a drink but tourist surveys show 44% are now visiting pubs specifically to eat.
